We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Wholesale Associate Account Manager to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong, long-term customer relationships and delivering excellent service.
The purpose of this role is to retain and grow revenue across our Wholesale customer base while achieving agreed revenue targets. You will do this by building trusted relationships, following through on commitments, and acting as a strong advocate for your customers.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Build and maintain direct relationships with new and existing clients, to understand their current and future business needs
- Recommend suitable products, services, and upgrades to support customer outcomes while maintaining and growing revenue
- Maintain regular contact with assigned clients and act as their primary point of contact to ensure a consistently high level of service
- Understand each customer’s objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes to develop long-term partnerships and strengthen Vocus’ position as a preferred supplier
- Negotiate pricing and volume-based discounts, where applicable, in line with company policies
- Work closely with Technical Support teams to resolve issues, support client retention, and drive ongoing business growth
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, outreach campaigns, referrals, and lead follow-up.
What you’ll bring to this role
- At least 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and persuade effectively
- Strong solution-selling capability, including the ability to work collaboratively with customers, solution consultants, and partners to deliver tailored outcomes
- Relationship-building skills, with a focus on trust, responsiveness, and long-term customer value
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across both internal and external teams.
