FULL-TIME SUBWAY STORE MANAGER – EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ONLY

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Manager to lead our team at Subway Melbourne Airport. This is a full-time role with consistent early morning hours, ideal for a hands-on leader with strong operational and people-management experience.
Hours:
6:30am – 3:00pm, 5 days per week (however flexibility is required) for immediate commencement.
Position Summary
As the Manager, you will be the heart of our restaurant operations. You will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a positive team culture. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example on the floor while managing the administrative and supporting the financial health of the store, all while being supported by our friendly and caring management team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As well as performing the duties of a Sandwich Artist, you will also be responsible for;
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily store operations to ensure 100% compliance with Subway® brand standards and food safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: train, and mentor staff. Manage rostering to ensure optimal coverage during peak periods while assisting the control of labor costs.
- Financial Management: Manage cash handling/banking, and analyse weekly inventory reports to minimize wastage and maximise profitability.
- Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, place orders with suppliers, and conduct weekly stocktakes.
- Customer Experience: Maintain a high standard of service, handle customer feedback professionally, and ensure the restaurant is always clean and welcoming.
- Marketing: Implement in-store marketing campaigns and local store marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic.
- WHS Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers by following all Work Health and Safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of management experience in a Subway store.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- A "can-do" attitude and the flexibility to work a rotating roster including some weekends.
- Solid understanding of P&L, stock control, and labor management.
- You must have full working rights in Australia to apply.
