About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to advance their career in a supportive and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).
- Assist clients with tax planning, compliance, and advisory matters.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory obligations.
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.
- Review client records and identify opportunities to improve tax outcomes and business performance.
- Support senior accountants and managers with client engagements and special projects.
- Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service.
About You
- 2–5 years of experience in public practice accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across various entity types.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
