Myer Group is looking for a Regional Profit Protection Manager (QLD) who will provide leadership to the field-based Profit Protection team. You will be responsible for driving engagement in stores with Profit Protection strategic initiatives and compliance with the shrinkage management program, and to deliver a commercial outcome by minimising stock loss and other profit loss metrics.
About the role:
- Provide leadership to Profit Protection operatives including uniform loss prevention officers and covert operatives
- Manage the contract partner security services deployed across the region
- Delivery of Profit Protection and shrinkage management training initiatives to Profit Protection operatives and Myer store teams
- Execution of store-based shrinkage management tours designed to drive compliance to the shrinkage management program and educate store team members on shrinkage controls
- Lead investigations into theft, fraud and organised retail crime (ORC), partnering with store leadership and law enforcement agencies where required to achieve successful outcomes
- Analyse shrinkage and known/unknown loss data across the region to identify trends and root causes, and develop targeted intervention plans
- Review and validate stocktake cycle count inventory discrepancies, working closely with supply chain and merchandise teams to resolve root causes and improve inventory accuracy
- Partner with regional and national Profit Protection leadership to roll out strategic initiatives and continuously improve the shrinkage management program
- Manage the regional Profit Protection budget, ensuring cost-effective and well-targeted deployment of security resources and technology
- Partner with the General Manager Stores QLD to build strong, trusted relationships with store leadership teams and other regional support functions to embed a positive Profit Protection culture and drive shared ownership of loss reduction across the region
About you:
- 5+ years’ experience in a regional Profit Protection or Loss Prevention leadership role, with a proven track record of success
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the business
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated experience managing organised retail crime and loss prevention strategies
- Sound understanding of financial reporting and business performance metrics
- Experience managing contract security providers and associated service delivery
- Strong knowledge of relevant state legislation relating to loss prevention, including CCTV, privacy, and apprehension procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Experience working with law enforcement agencies and building effective partnerships
- A collaborative approach with the ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationship
