Serene Family Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Technician to join our growing team of dental professionals. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, construction, and repair of dental appliances such as dentures, crowns, bridges, and mouthguards. You will work closely with dentists and dental prosthetists to deliver high-quality dental restorations that meet functional and aesthetic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Dental Technician, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
● Constructing, designing, and repairing full and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, veneers, and mouthguards.
● Fabricating metal frameworks for removable partial dentures using casting, soldering, and finishing techniques.
● Interpreting and working from dental prescriptions, work models, and digital scans provided by dentists and prosthetists.
● Using a range of dental materials, including acrylics, alloys, ceramics, and composites.
● Setting artificial teeth into wax blocks and processing dentures using various polymerization techniques.
● Creating and modifying orthodontic appliances and splints when required.
● Repairing and relining existing dentures and appliances.
● Operating and maintaining precision dental laboratory equipment such as casting machines, milling units, and CAD/CAM systems.
● Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and infection control standards.
● Maintaining accurate job records and contributing to workflow planning in the laboratory.
Skills and Experience Required:
● AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Dental Technology (or equivalent).
● Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a dental laboratory environment.
● Sound knowledge of dental materials, fabrication techniques, and digital design systems.
● Strong attention to detail, hand–eye coordination, and time management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Collaborating with dental professionals to ensure proper fit, function, and aesthetics of finished appliances.
