Rockit Climbing & Bouldering is the Sunshine Coast’s premier indoor climbing facility, offering bouldering, top rope climbing, lead climbing, MoonBoards, auto belays, coaching programs and an incredible community.
We’re passionate about delivering an outstanding experience every time someone walks through our doors. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an exceptional Gym Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations and help drive the business forward.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys improving systems, leads by example and takes pride in delivering results.
The Role
As Gym Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation of the facility, leading the team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and helping grow the business.
You’ll work closely with the owners while taking ownership of the daily running of the gym.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the facility
* Lead, coach and develop reception, coaching and operational staff
* Prepare and manage staff rosters and payroll hours
* Manage memberships, billing and reporting through GymMaster
* Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve member enquiries promptly
* Monitor membership growth, retention and cancellations
* Coordinate route-setting schedules with the setting team
* Ensure the facility is clean, safe and professionally presented at all times
* Manage retail stock levels and merchandise displays
* Assist in planning and executing competitions, community events and member programs
* Coordinate social media content and assist with marketing initiatives
* Produce weekly operational and performance reports
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and member experience
* Ensure policies, procedures and safety standards are consistently followed
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems before they’re noticed and consistently follows through.
You’ll be organised, reliable and capable of balancing multiple priorities without constant supervision.

* Previous leadership or management experience
* Outstanding organisational and time management skills
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to lead, motivate and hold a team accountable
* Strong computer literacy and confidence learning new software
* High attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise high-impact tasks and meet deadlines
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset
* Reliable, trustworthy and highly accountable
Highly Desirable
* Experience using GymMaster
* Experience in the climbing, fitness or recreation industry
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Working With Children Check
* Experience creating social media content or assisting with marketing
