Central Coast Local Health District have a great opportunity for the right candidate to work with the Team of Trade Staff in Wyong Hospital, Long Jetty Hospital as well as our Community Health Centres in the Northern sector.
About The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand Carpenter and/or Maintenance Manager to provide a day to day delivery of Carpentry services across Central Coast Local Health District. This encompasses working with a small team of Trade staff, liaising with other staff, to support the delivery of ethical and cost effective carpentry services in a timely manner, across the district. You may be required to work at other hospitals, Community Centres and other facilities.
- This role is critical for maintenance of Wyong and Long Jetty Hospitals as well as all the Community Health Centres in the Northern sector.
This role is responsible for lock repairs, emergency window reparis, door repairs, cabinetry, shelving, wall damage and minor building works/repairs including installation of windows and benches as required. This role also undertakes minor road/footpath repairs.

About You
- Carpentry Trade qualification relevant to this position.
- Experience in carrying out carpentry and joinery works to a high finishing standard.
- Current NSW Driver’s License and participate in an on-call roster and be available for after-hours call backs.
- A current Occupational Health and Safety General Induction for Construction in NSW Certificate or willingness to obtain within three months of appointment.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work, Health and Safety.
- Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade and contract staff in accordance with the Ministry of Health Code of Conduct and in a manner conducive with the harmonious and efficient team delivery of maintenance services in a modern health facility.
- You have a current NSW Driver’s Licence and you can participate in an on-call roster
