Excavator Operator – Civil Earthworks

CMTL Group is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for ongoing civil earthworks projects across the Sunshine Coast region.
This is a local position offering consistent Monday to Friday work with a reputable civil contractor. The successful candidate will have proven experience operating 20–35 tonne excavators and be confident using Trimble GPS systems to complete detailed excavation works.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating 20–35 tonne excavators
- Detailed excavation and final trim works
- Installation of drainage infrastructure
- Rock breaking and excavation
- Bulk and detailed earthworks
- GPS machine control operations using Trimble systems
- Reading plans and working to set levels and specifications
- Conducting pre-start inspections and daily maintenance checks
- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience operating 20–35 tonne excavators
- Strong Trimble GPS machine control experience
- Experience with:
- Drainage works
- Rock breaking
- Final trim
- Detailed excavation
- General earthworks
- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Desirable
- Civil construction experience
- Roller, Loader or Dozer tickets
- HR Driver's Licence
- Experience on subdivision or infrastructure projects
