- Engineering design leadership;
- Design development, standards and advisory services;
- People leadership and team management;
- Communication and stakeholder management;
- OHS - Quality Management;
- Risk management;
- Budget management;
- Work planning and coordination;
- Design quality assurance and technical review;
- Consultant and contractor oversight;
- Procurement;
- Documentation and reporting;
- Performance and program delivery.

Skills and Experiences:
To Apply for this role, please include a cover letter addressing the following Key Selection Criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related field, or substantial relevant experience.
Substantial experience leading engineering design, technical assessment or capital works programs in a complex stakeholder environment.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing professional staff, including work allocation, performance management and team development.
Advanced knowledge of civil engineering design, capital works planning, and program development across one or more of road, drainage or open space infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex technical issues, develop evidence-based options and provide authoritative specialist advice to senior management and Council.
Highly developed program, consultant, budget, risk and procurement management skills, with experience delivering engineering designs to construction-ready status.
Highly developed consultation, facilitation, negotiation and written communication skills, including the capacity to influence outcomes through professional credibility rather than formal authority alone.
