Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Contracts Administrator to join our team and support the successful delivery of our residential developments.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Managers and Site Supervisors you will be responsible for the administration and financial management of construction projects from procurement through to completion.
This is a key role within the business ensuring subcontractor engagement, project cost control, contract administration and project reporting are managed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and administer subcontract agreements and supplier contracts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and scope assessments.
- Assess and process subcontractor progress claims and variations.
- Prepare and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and administer subcontract variations.
- Assist with project programming and procurement schedules.
- Maintain accurate contract and project records.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Assist with project cash flow management and financial reporting.
- Support project delivery teams to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator within the residential or commercial construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontract administration.
- Experience managing project costs variations and procurement.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience working on townhouse, multi-unit, or medium-density residential developments.
- Experience with construction management software a bonus but not essential.
