Meatmaiden is one of the 101 World's Best Steak Restaurants - and we are now on the hunt for a talented Sous Chef and Chef de Partie looking to advance their career within our premium steakhouse.
At Meatmaiden, classic American grill and modern bbq dishes are reimagined and twisted. We're a 12-year established, busy and fun basement restaurant and bar in the CBD with a strong following and a close team.
You'll work with some of Australia's best produce and your meat and cut knowledge will become first class. We smoke over hardwood, dry age large cuts in house and showcase quality local beef on our custom-built chargrill. We're passionate and proud about the ingredients we use.
You must have or be keen to learn:
- Solid knowledge of grilling meat, breaking down larger cuts and portioning
- A passion for local and seasonal produce especially Australian beef.
- Experience in leading and inspiring a team and developing individuals
- The highest standards of quality and consistency, including staff training
- Great communication and the ability to build strong relationships and work in a one-team environment
- A can-do attitude and plenty of initiative
