Your opportunity
Library Services fosters learning, teaching and research through innovative services, scholarly resources and specialist expertise that support the University's academic and research community. As Coordinator, Repository within the Library Systems team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Southern Cross University's research outputs, scholarly activities and researcher profiles are discoverable, accessible and preserved. Working closely with researchers and academics across the University, you will coordinate repository workflows, provide specialist advice and contribute to open access initiatives that enhance the visibility and impact of SCU research.
You will make an impact by:

Coordinating the University's research repository to maximise the discoverability, accessibility and preservation of research outputs and researcher profiles

provide expert advice on repository services, scholarly communications and open access requirements

Identifying opportunities to improve repository workflows, systems and user experience through initiative, sound judgement and continuous improvement

Producing institutional reporting and collaborating across Library Services and the University to support research excellence
What you will bring
You are an organised and detail-oriented information professional who enjoys working independently while building strong relationships with researchers and colleagues. You bring excellent judgement, initiative and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a specialist role.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:

Experience working with a research repository, and demonstrated understanding of scholarly content discovery and access in an academic library or equivalent environment

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with academic staff

Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to continuously improving systems and processes

Located at either Lismore, NSW 2480, Gold Coast, QLD 4225 or Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.

HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $83,563 - $92,857 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $108,643.
