About the Role
In this role the daily work will include care of the post-surgical patient, education provision to patients on how to manage their drains and catheters in both the inpatient and outpatient environment, providing care and compassion to those who have experienced major life changes through the surgeries performed, coordinating and re-prioritising patient care for better outcomes multiple times throughout a shift and working in a fast-paced nursing team.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster.
