We're seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join Glascott. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in landscaping, civil construction, or a related industry to play a key role in the pre-construction process. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers, and helping secure a diverse range of projects.

About the Role
As an Estimator at Glascott, you'll be a key contributor to our continued growth, helping secure exciting landscaping and civil construction projects. You'll analyse project documentation, develop accurate and competitive pricing, and provide commercial insight that supports successful project outcomes. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while playing an integral role in the future success of the business.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for landscaping and civil construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating process.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methodologies.
- Support successful project handovers to the delivery team.
About You
You'll be a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on delivering quality outcomes.
You'll ideally have:

Previous estimating experience within landscaping, civil construction, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and estimating principles.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office (desirable).
