About the role
As a Financial Lines Underwriter, you will play a key role in assessing and underwriting risks in alignment with binding authority contracts, rating guidelines, and organisational procedures. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in managing binder portfolios, ensuring profitability, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. You will also build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Gallagher brokers, insurers, and claims handlers, while delivering exceptional service.
A Day in the Life

Articulating the OMP value proposition and aligning with dominant priorities

Supporting the management of binder portfolios to achieve and maintain profitability

Assisting in achieving revenue targets and preparing referrals for market submissions

Managing administrative tasks such as renewals, debtors, policy issuance, and submission registers

Building and maintaining strong relationships with Gallagher brokers, insurers, and other business partners

Monitoring and reporting on key relationship statuses to ensure high standards are upheld

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, company, and delegated authority requirements to meet audit standards

Participating in personal and professional development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
Skills and experience

2 years + experience in a similar role
- Strong product, market and policy wording knowledge

Knowledge of the local and Lloyd’s of London markets is highly desirable

A meticulous approach to tasks and a focus on achieving sales development goals
