Our team is responsible for delivering essential services that maintain and enhance the Shire's streets, parks and public spaces. From supporting civil maintenance programs to coordinating business operations and administrative functions, you'll play an important role in helping our teams deliver high-quality services that make a visible difference to the community. Based in the beautiful Sutherland Shire, you'll be part of a collaborative team committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement and outstanding customer service.
As our Business Support Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Infrastructure & Operations Directorate, helping to keep essential services running efficiently behind the scenes.
Working with the Civil Works & Presentation team, you'll provide high-quality business and administrative support to leaders and teams delivering vital services to our community. You'll coordinate governance and reporting processes, manage customer and VIP requests, support procurement, project planning and contract administration, and contribute to business improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing high-quality business, administrative and customer support within the Civil Works & Presentation team.
- Coordinating reports, agendas and minutes for the team and committee.
- Managing financial administration, including procurement and contract administration.
- Supporting project planning, communications and team initiatives.
- Coordinating VIP and customer requests while delivering responsive, professional stakeholder service.
- Assisting with continuous business improvement initiatives.

- Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant area or equivalent extensive experience
- Class C Drivers License
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

- Package: $78,717-$83,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
