Practice Nurse - Wallan, VIC
We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, caring, and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly medical clinic in Wallan on a part-time casual basis (2 days per week).
You will work closely with our Doctors, Practice Manager, and Administration team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and welcoming environment.
About the Role
As our Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in both clinical care and the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide high-quality nursing care including triage and first aid
- Administer vaccinations
- Wound management
- Assist doctors with procedures
Health Promotion & Prevention
- Support chronic disease management, perform health assessments and careplans
- Conduct health screening and recalls
- Provide patient education and health promotion activities
Clinic Operations
- Coordinate patient care and support clinic workflows
- Respond to patient queries and assist with complaints
- Stock control, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Answer phones and assist with appointment bookings as needed
Quality & Compliance
- Support accreditation, training, compliance, and quality improvement activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in Australia
- Experience working in General Practice is preferrable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Leadership ability, initiative, and independence
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Confidence using clinical software and computer systems
- A genuine desire to learn and contribute to a growing practice
