The Gardens Club is seeking an experienced Casual Café All-Rounder / Barista to join our team in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. We’re a busy daytime café and events venue with a strong community focus, delivering a hospitality training program that supports young people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds.
About the role
This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll work across coffee service, customer service and general café operations, helping us deliver a welcoming and efficient experience for every guest.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Processing orders and payments through the POS system
- Delivering drinks & food to customers
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked café
- Supporting the team during busy service periods
- Assisting with occasional event service when required
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience working in a café
- Strong barista skills and confidence on a commercial machine
- A positive attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- A team-first approach to service
- An RSA certificate (required)
- Availability across a 7 day roster
