What is the role?
As Kitchen Hand your day-to-day duties include:
- Actions cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery
- Operates dishwashing machine as per instruction manual
- General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers
- Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
- Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitised clean and dry operational equipment.
- Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
What is needed to be successful in this role?
- Experience in a similar role
- Desire to start a career in the Kitchen
- Able to work a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday including weekends, nights and public holidays
- Must reside and hold a valid working visa in Australia
