About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused and technically capable Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology team at Telfer. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient delivery of IT services across the business by providing timely and effective support to end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and assisting with technology projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, working closely with stakeholders, and delivering high-quality customer service in a dynamic mining environment.
Please note this is a permanent site-based role on 8/6 FIFO Roster
Key Responsibilities
Provide first and second level IT support to users across the business.
Deliver desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral support to site and corporate personnel.
Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, systems, and technology environments.
Respond to Helpdesk enquiries and provide timely resolution or escalation of issues.
Ensure service tickets are accurately logged, tracked, and resolved in accordance with agreed service levels.
Support the delivery of IT projects and initiatives as directed by the IT Infrastructure Manager.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and support knowledge articles.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Greatland's infrastructure and business systems.
Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and project timelines to ensure effective service delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar IT support role.
Strong desktop and end-user support experience.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience maintaining technical documentation and support records.
Previous experience working within the mining industry.

Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia’s East Pilbara region. The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since commencing production in 1975, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold. The site operates on a fly-in fly-out basis and offers a wide range of onsite recreational facilities to support workforce wellbeing.
