We are seeking an experienced, driven, and passionate Chef to join our team in a leadership capacity, delivering exceptional dining experiences and setting the standard for quality and consistency in our kitchen.
This role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, leading a high-performing team, and driving creativity across the menu. You will ensure every dish meets high standards of flavour, presentation, and execution while maintaining strong control over food safety, costs, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and consistent food quality
- Develop and refine menus, incorporating seasonal produce, customer preferences, and dietary needs
- Maintain and execute existing recipes while introducing innovative dishes aligned with the brand
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance at all times
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to build a strong, high-performing team
- Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and ordering processes
- Control food costs and minimise wastage through effective planning and inventory management
- Implement efficient prep systems and service workflows
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure accurate menu knowledge and service delivery
- Handle customer feedback professionally and drive continuous improvement
- Create and manage staff rosters aligned with business demand and labour targets
- Maintain kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Monitor and report on kitchen KPIs including food costs, productivity, and performance
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or hospitality venue
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of cuisines and modern cooking techniques
- Creativity and attention to detail in menu design and presentation
- Ability to innovate while maintaining operational consistency
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and organisational ability
- Comfortable working under pressure in high-volume service
- Strong understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards
- Experience using kitchen systems, inventory tools, and performance tracking
- Ability to analyse food costs, stock levels, and kitchen performance
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Qualifications
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent experience
- 3–4+ years experience in a professional kitchen
- Experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef, or stepping into a leadership role
