Immaculate Heart Outside School Hours Care in Leichhardt.
As part of the close-knit
Immaculate Heart School and Ipswich Parish community, our service operates from the school hall and welcomes up to 90 children each day. We pride ourselves on our strong community connections, supportive team culture, and family-oriented environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
At Immaculate Heart OSHC, we embrace the importance of play-based learning, offering a balance of indoor and outdoor experiences, individual and group activities, and opportunities that foster creativity, confidence, and connection. As a smaller service, you'll have the chance to build meaningful relationships with children and families and make a genuine impact every day.
A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator
As an Educator, you'll play an important role in creating a positive and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn through play. Your day may include:
- Providing nurturing and responsive care for children.
- Creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all.
- Planning and facilitating fun recreational, educational, and play-based experiences that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider school community.
- Collaborating with an established and supportive team to deliver the best outcomes for children and families.
- Joining in on exciting excursions and special activities during Vacation Care programs.
- Bringing energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to every shift while making a real difference in children's lives.

What We’re Looking For:
- A Certificate III, Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA approved) desirable but not essential.
- A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for working with children and contributing to their growth in a play-based setting
- Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- Previous experience in OSHC or a similar environment (desirable)
