North Melbourne | Part Time or Full Time

While we're known for chocolate, our bakery is at the heart of that experience, producing everything from our signature cinnamon buns to croissants, handcrafted pastries and cakes, supplied fresh to our Melbourne venues each day.
We're looking for a Pastry Chef with at least two years' commercial pastry or bakery experience to join our North Melbourne team. If you enjoy early mornings, value quality and craftsmanship, and take pride in producing consistently great products, we'd love to hear from you.
Working alongside our Production Lead and Senior Pastry Chefs, you'll help create the products our customers know and love while continuing to develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
You'll be involved in:
- Laminated and enriched dough production
- Cakes, tarts and other baked pastries
- Dough preparation and pastry components
- Bake-off, finishing and quality control
- Preparing and packing products for our Melbourne venues
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production bakery where quality, consistency and attention to detail matter.
The role starts at approximately 4:30am, so reliable early morning availability is essential.
Hours may be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis depending on the successful candidate and business requirements.
Availability to work at least one weekend day is essential, with additional weekend availability highly regarded.
About You
You'll bring:
- At least two years' experience in a commercial pastry or bakery environment
- Demonstrated experience with laminated doughs, including croissants and other laminated pastries
- A genuine passion for pastry and baking
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- A reliable, positive and team-focused approach
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
