Role description:
Our NSW Ecology team is seeking a consultant level Ecologist to join their ranks and deliver a range of ecological assessments on projects primarily throughout NSW. Join a high performing National team, that put quality and culture at the forefront. Working on both specialist ecology and major infrastructure projects, with opportunity to collaborate with our interstate teams on QLD and VIC projects as well.
Role accountabilities:
- Providing technical ecological advice and report deliverables on a range of complex projects;
- Field based data collection, surveys and mapping including BAM threatened species surveys and PCT identification;
- Working collaboratively and guiding projects using your technical expertise, as a part of a multi-disciplinary team;
- Proposal preparation and project management; and
- Using your networks to identify opportunities and grow business.
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You are an enthusiastic Ecologist who has the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as autonomously.
You’ll come to us with:
- Tertiary qualifications in ecology or other relevant degree;
- 3+ years field and office experience within an environmental consultancy
- Experience with report delivery and project management;
- A genuine curiosity and appreciation for the world around you and the work you do;
- An enthusiasm to contribute to knowledge sharing within the existing team, both to more and less experienced ecologists;
- Appetite to learn and develop your skills and knowledge, working alongside several BAM Accredited Assessors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong client focus and a knack for building and maintaining credible working relationships.
