NDIS SUPPORT WORKER NEEDED – PAKENHAM AREA
Vitality Support Care is looking for a reliable, respectful, and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to support a female participant in Pakenham, VIC.
About Leanne
Leanne is a highly intelligent and respectful individual who enjoys staying active and participating in the community. She enjoys:
- Going to the beach
- Visiting the dog park
- Arts and crafts
- Spending time in her dedicated craft room
Leanne lives with Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism, and chronic pain affecting her back, shoulders, hips, and feet.
She also has an emotional support dog named TAN. Staff must always ask Leanne for permission before interacting with Bear.
Important Support Requirements
The successful applicant must:
- Respect Leanne's privacy, personal space, and belongings.
- Always ask permission before entering her craft room.
- Never touch her personal belongings unless specifically instructed.
- When out in the community, walk on Leanne's left side due to minimal vision in her right eye.
- Prepare a meal for Leanne during the shift even if she initially declines. The meal should be covered and stored appropriately in the refrigerator.
- Keep mobile phone use to a minimum during shifts.
- Not take personal calls during shifts unless the call is from Vitality Management or there is a family emergency.
- Never leave medication out where it is accessible to Leanne.
- Follow Leanne's preferences and provide respectful, person-centred support.
We are looking for someone who is patient, professional, reliable, respectful, and confident in providing person-centred NDIS support.
