Summary:
Join our team as a Casual Delivery Driver, responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across Newcastle and the Hunter. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that involves much more than driving.
You’ll be regularly in and out of the vehicle, delivering kegs, cartons and venue stock, packing and dispatching website orders, unloading trucks, moving stock around the warehouse and lifting, wrapping and moving pallets. You’ll also assist with general warehouse duties and ensure stock is delivered safely and efficiently to our venues and customers.
The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, practical and comfortable with manual handling and being on the go throughout the day. You’ll need to be happy working independently, getting your hands dirty and jumping between deliveries, warehouse duties and stock movement as required.
This casual position offers flexible hours and is ideal for someone who enjoys driving but also wants an active, varied role where no two days are exactly the same.
Responsibilities:

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collect necessary documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and Modus team.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods as required.
- Report to our Head of Brewery logistics and Head of Brewery Rachael and Ian.
- Direct to customer pick and pack.
Qualifications:

Valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a delivery or driving role is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Forklift license required.
- Weekday availability required.
- The ability to lift and transport heavy kegs and cartons.
