Future Capability Innovation aspires to be Australia’s leading eCommerce & Last Mile Business, powering e-commerce growth across all Woolworths Group brands through exceptional customer experiences and competitive economics. The end-to-end Last Mile solution manages specialized teams, technology, and operations delivering over 450,000 orders weekly while influencing a cost base exceeding $400 million across Fleet and Point-to-Point (P2P) channels.
As the Routing Optimisation Lead you role will be the analytical engine of the Last Mile team and will provide the analytics & Insights to form actionable logistics blueprints. Key responsibilities include:
Tactical Optimisation: Perform detailed data analysis to support optimised route planning strategies.
Project Support: Support the analytics, reporting and decision making of routing optimisation projects.
KPI Reporting: Monitor and report on daily and weekly KPIs to identify operational bottlenecks and provide insights.
Tool Support: Assist in developing, maintaining, and deploying administrative and forecasting tools.
Stakeholder Support: Act as a support function for the Routing operations team.
Seasonal Execution: Provide analytical and operational support during peak periods like Christmas and Easter to maintain network stability.
Technical & Analytics Experience: Solid data analytics background in retail, supply chain, or logistics to drive operational and financial outcomes.
Technical Tooling: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and basic GCP data querying/wrangling (BigQuery, Looker Studio, Sheets).
Commercial & Logistics Acumen: Strong financial acumen to address a $400M+ cost base, coupled with familiarity with 3PL operations, agile practices, and customer-centric NPS improvements.
Execution & Adaptability: Self-starter capable of working autonomously in fast-paced environments, with flexibility to align with operational shift requirements as needed.
Stakeholder engagement: You will collaborate effectively with key internal and external partners, grouped across eCom, Operations, Finance, Technology as well as external vendors
