WOOOF opened its new premium salon in Surry Hills in October and demand has grown rapidly. Located in the Wunderlich Lane precinct, our salon delivers high-quality grooming supported by natural products, hydrospa treatments and a modern, well organised workspace.
We are now seeking an experienced dog bather and grooming assistant who can confidently wash, dry, brush and prepare dogs to a high standard. This role is critical to workflow efficiency and ensures each groomer can deliver consistent results for our clients.
We offer casual roles with above-award pay and structured development for those looking to advance into full grooming. You will work in a high-performing team that values reliability, quality and safe handling.
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- Proven experience as a dog bather or grooming assistant
- Strong, safe dog-handling skills across a wide range of breeds
- Ability to deliver consistent prep work to a professional standard
- Good strength and fitness for physical, hands-on work
- Confidence working in a fast-moving, high-volume salon
- Calm, steady behaviour under pressure
- A positive team mindset and willingness to support others
- A genuine love of dogs and their wellbeing
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- A valid work visa or Australian citizenship/permanent residency
