This is ideal for a chef who works evenings and want to supplement their income or a parent with cooking back ground.
We are seeking applicants for casual Childcare Centre Cook/Chef at our Urambi Early Learning Centre in Kambah.
The chef/cook will receive (30hrs) Monday- Friday (shifts running approximately from 8am to 2pm - however these times are flexible) until 16th June, however there is potential for additional casual employment thereafter.
The position requires relevant qualifications in the planning, preparation and serving of nutritional and healthy meals for children.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- a Commercial Cookery Certificate III as a minimum
- An ACT WWVP card (essential)
- Ability to cater to allergy and intolerant requirements, and culturally diverse diets
- Ability to work on your own and maintain a clean and functional kitchen and dining room
- Ability to manage the kitchen and dining room requirements of the Food Safety Plan, including safe hygiene practices for the kitchen and the dining room
- Ability to order accurately and manage rotation of food supplies
- Passion for positive interactions with children to ensure children enjoy a love of healthy eating and diverse food from the 'ground' up
- Effective time management
This is an independent flexible hours position, which would suit applicants with school-aged children. The successful applicant most importantly must have a positive attitude, sound experience, effective time-management skills and self-motivation.
Pay: $31.19 – $35.15 per hour
