Pasta and wine with personality. We need a manager to match.
Ragazzi is a 38-seat, candle-lit pocket of relief tucked down an unassuming laneway in Angel Place. Dark and moody, with tables packed tight around an L-shaped space, it's the kind of place where you can hear the neighbour's gossip and maybe steal a bite off their plate before the night's out.
We serve traditional hand-rolled, shaped and pinched Italian pasta, with sauces and snacks that are uniquely our own. Our 250-bottle wine list champions classic and contemporary Italian winemaking, with a serious tilt toward minimal-intervention gems. The menu changes with the seasons. The room is packed and buzzing every single night (and day).
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager who can keep up and lead the charge.
We're looking for a Restaurant Manager to take the reins at Ragazzi.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading and inspiring a high-energy front-of-house team through busy, fast-paced services
Overseeing day-to-day operations – rostering, stock control, financials and service standards
Driving an exceptional guest experience that reflects Ragazzi's warm, unpretentious personality
Working closely with our Culinary Director and Head Chef to shape the guest journey
Managing and developing your team – because great hospitality starts with great people
Championing our wine program and ensuring your team can talk wine like they actually drink it
You've got personality. Loads of it. You're comfortable when the floor is pumping and the pass is stacked. You thrive on energy, not chaos. You lead with warmth, not volume. And you genuinely love hospitality – the buzz, the banter, the beautiful mess of a full house.
You also bring:
Proven restaurant management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
A natural ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
Strong operational skills – rostering, stock, financials, you know the drill
A genuine passion for food and wine (Italian wine knowledge is a big plus but we can teach you)
Impeccable attention to detail and service standards
Full working rights in Australia and a current RSA
Availability for nights and weekends – this is hospitality, after all
