Independent Review Office (IRO)
Location: 1 Oxford Street Sydney (hybrid work options available)
You’ll be office-based at least 5 days per fortnight for full-time roles (pro-rata for part-time), with the remaining days worked flexibly as agreed.
We are seeking an Advisor Governance and Projects to join the Independent Review Office (IRO). In this role, you will provide high-quality governance, risk and project support, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen business operations and support informed decision-making.
You will play a key role in delivering strategic and operational priorities by providing expert advice, analysing complex issues, and supporting the uplift of governance, risk and compliance practices across the organisation.

The Independent Review Office (IRO) is an independent statutory body in NSW that plays a critical role in the personal injury system. The IRO helps injured workers and motor vehicle accident claimants resolve disputes with insurers and provides legal funding to support claimants in navigating complex processes.

What you’ll do
In this role, you will:

Provide high-quality advice to support business operations and decision-making

Prepare reports, briefings, submissions and analysis to inform strategic and operational outcomes

Analyse complex issues, identify trends and recommend practical solutions

Support the delivery of governance, risk and compliance activities across the business

Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and services

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and services
-
Manage multiple priorities and respond to competing demands in a fast-paced environment
What we’re looking for
You will bring:

Experience in governance, risk, projects, policy or advisory roles within a complex environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise documents

Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $113574 base plus superannuation
