About the Health Centre
Kapooka Health Centre & Clinic are approximately 10 minutes outside of Wagga Wagga within the Kapooka Military area located at Blamey Barracks. All soldiers in the Army complete Basic Training here, known as the “Home of the Soldier”. These health facilities support the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC). It has a 50-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Health Centre staff may be required to work across Wagga & Kapooka. Standard hours of operation are generally 0700-1600 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What you’ll do

Supporting dental procedures through chair-side assisting

Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and treatment areas

Promoting oral health and supporting patient care

Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards

Managing patient records and supporting administrative tasks
What you bring
-
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
-
2 years chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting
-
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
-
Strong understanding of infection control and clinical standards
-
Great communication skills with a caring, team-focused approach
