About the role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial reporting, budgeting, taxation compliance, cash flow, and general accounting functions. You will provide accurate financial information and strategic insights to support business decisions, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and contribute to the efficient financial management and ongoing growth of the organisation.
Here are some of the things you’ll be doing in the role:
1. Assist in developing financial policies, accounting procedures, budgets, and financial strategies to support business objectives.
2. Provide financial oversight across multiple locations, analysing profitability, costs, revenue, and financial performance.
3. Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and financial information for stakeholders.
4. Conduct financial analysis, reviews, and audits to identify risks, improvements, and investment opportunities.
5. Analyse operating costs, revenue trends, and expenditure to improve profitability and efficiency.
6. Provide strategic financial advice to directors and management for planning and business growth.
7. Prepare and coordinate BAS, GST, PAYG, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance documentation.
8. Assess cash flow, financial risks, funding requirements, and investment opportunities.
9. Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and software for accurate reporting.
10. Establish internal controls, financial procedures, and risk management processes.
11. Review transactions, reconciliations, and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
12. Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for business decision-making.
13. Provide financial insights and recommendations based on data analysis and business trends.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
