MUSA SERVICES PTY LTD is a growing construction and building services company delivering residential and commercial construction, renovation, refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance and building improvement projects across Greater Sydney and New South Wales. The company specialises in residential and commercial construction, renovations, extensions, fit-outs and building maintenance services.
Due to continued business growth and an increasing pipeline of construction projects, we are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will undertake a range of skilled carpentry duties across residential and commercial construction projects, including structural framing, fit-out installations, renovation works, remedial carpentry and finishing carpentry activities.
Key Responsibilities
· Interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans and construction specifications.
· Assess site measurements, site conditions and material requirements to ensure accurate construction and installation outcomes.
· Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber, wallboard and other building materials.
· Erect and secure wall partitions, ceiling frameworks and timber structures using hand and power tools.
· Construct, install, alter and repair structural frameworks including wall frames, floor systems, roof structures and supporting frameworks.
· Install and repair timber fixtures, fittings and framework components in accordance with project specifications and building requirements.
· Install flooring systems, timber decking, staircases, balustrades and other structural timber components.
· Install doors, windows, cabinetry, shelving, joinery, skirting boards, architraves and decorative timber finishes.
· Undertake renovation, refurbishment and remedial carpentry works on residential and commercial properties.
· Calculate material requirements, prepare cutting lists and organise work activities to meet project timelines.
· Liaise with site supervisors and other trades to ensure carpentry works are completed in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
· Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure compliance with project specifications, relevant building standards and workplace safety requirements.
· Operate and maintain carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
· Construct and dismantle formwork structures where required for project activities.
· Select and prepare materials required for construction, installation and repair works.
Skills and Experience
· Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised trade qualification.
· Minimum one year of relevant carpentry experience in residential and/or commercial construction environments.
· Demonstrated experience in structural framing, fit-out, renovation and finishing carpentry works.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
· Strong understanding of construction methods, material estimation and building practices.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades.
· Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
· White Card or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

Location
This position is based in Westmead, NSW, with work undertaken across various project sites throughout Greater Sydney and surrounding areas.
