Your Opportunity
Our Maintenance Services team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pre Contract Advisor to join their Commercial and Partnerships team!
The Maintenance Services team implements Urban Utilities’ maintenance program, delivering more than 100,000 maintenance activities each year, maintaining services 24 hours a day and seven days a week, through a range of strategic and tactical commercial agreements.
The Pre Contract Advisor will provide contract and commercial services to the business and will be responsible for pre-award contract activities, including preparing and releasing tenders to market (working closely with Subject Matter Experts to do so), guiding the evaluation of submissions, reporting on the status of existing agreements and negotiating contract terms, conditions and pricing for low-risk contracts. The role will also involve assisting the Urban Utilities Procurement team with the preparation and release of larger packages of strategic sourcing to further support the Maintenance Services team.
This role will work with the Leader Pre Contract Commercial to develop and implement sourcing strategies, develop and maintain reporting related to sourcing activities and report on risks identified with existing and pending contracts. The role would suit someone who is proactive and capable with regard to developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally. The role will ensure procurement and contract administration processes are undertaken in line with corporate requirements.
About You
- High School/FE College (2 A Levels)/Diploma required;
- A tertiary-level qualification in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Project Management or similar) is desirable;
- Possession of qualifications in contract management is desirable;
- Experience working within maintenance contracts;
- Experience in contract/project administration or procurement with the demonstrable ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
