The role
Lead one of Queensland Health's most significant virtual health services. As Executive Director, Health Contact Centre (HCC), you will provide strategic and operational leadership for a statewide service delivering 24-hour health advice, clinical assessment, public health support and virtual care initiatives to Queenslanders. Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, Clinical Excellence Queensland, you will drive service excellence, innovation and sustainable grown while leading a large and diverse workforce.
The HCC operates around the clock and delivers a broad range of services including 13 HEALTH, Quitline, child health services, immunisation programs, waitlist management, health alerts, outbreak response support and digital health services.
As Executive Director, you will:
Lead the strategic direction, governance and performance of the HCC.
Drive innovation in virtual care, telephony and digital health service delivery.
Oversee service quality, operational performance, workforce capability and financial sustainability.
Build and maintain strong partnerships across government, healthcare services, industry and community stakeholders.
Represent the department at state and national forums and provide strategic advice to senior executives, the Director-General and Minister.
Foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture that delivers exceptional outcomes for Queenslanders.
The successful person
You are a proven executive leader with extensive experience leading large, complex service delivery organisations. You combine strategic vision with strong operational acumen and have a demonstrated ability to drive innovation, lead transformational change, build high-performing teams and influence outcomes across a broad stakeholder environment. Your exceptional communication and relationship management skills enable you to work effectively with government, healthcare leaders, clinicians and community partners.
This is a fixed term temporary full-time opportunity for up to six months. Where the successful candidate is an existing Queensland Public Sector employee, the appointment may be managed through a higher duties arrangement.
