Job description:
The role of Warehouse Assistant Storeperson will be tasked with assisting the management of stock movements, maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely despatch and receipt of goods.
Duties of the role:
- Receiving, checking and logging incoming goods
- Organising and storing stock in a clean and systematic manner
- Preparing items for despatch and ensuring accurate order fulfilment
- Ensuring inventory counts are correct and up to date
- Assist with the unloading of shipping containers
- Assist with basic production duties and general warehouse/stores duties as needed
Required skills:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores-based role desired
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy
- Basic IT knowledge, for booking in freight collections and order logging
- Applicants must be able to work autonomously and as part of a small team
- Physically able to lift and transport cartons and boxes
- Forklift licence required
