As a Motor Mechanic at Audvolks, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda vehicles to the highest industry standards. You will use advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair procedures to ensure all vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and accurately.
Your key duties will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using computerised diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Inspecting, dismantling, repairing and replacing defective mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, steering and suspension systems.
- Carrying out brake, suspension, cooling system and engine repairs.
- Performing engine and transmission rebuilds, component overhauls and other complex mechanical repairs when required.
- Conducting road tests and quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintaining accurate repair records, service reports and workshop documentation.
- Advising the Service Advisor or Workshop Manager of additional repair requirements and parts needed.
- Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Working collaboratively with other technicians to deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
- Keeping up to date with new automotive technologies, diagnostic procedures and manufacturer technical information, particularly for Volkswagen Group vehicles.
What You'll Need
- A recognised trade qualification in automotive (at least Certificate IV).
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a qualified motor mechanic.
- Experience with European vehicles highly regarded.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
- A customer-service mindset, reliability and a genuine passion for cars.
Pay: $83,000.00 – $88,000.00 per year
