Overview
Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Team Manager to support our Specialty and General Liability Claims teams within the General Insurance division. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving team performance, fostering technical excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant and customer-focused claims outcomes.
You will lead a team managing complex and often sensitive claims, including Specialty and general liability matters. The role requires strong leadership, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to balance operational performance with empathy and professionalism in highly nuanced claims environments.
How you'll make an impact
On a day to day basis, you will:

Lead, coach and develop a team of claims professionals to achieve performance, quality and service outcomes.

Oversee the management of complex Specialty and general liability claims portfolios.

Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex, sensitive or escalated claims matters.

Monitor team performance metrics, identify trends and implement targeted improvement strategies.

Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and policy requirements, including trauma-informed practices where applicable.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, legal partners and external agencies.

Support workforce planning, resource management and operational delivery across the team.

Contribute to strategic initiatives, change programs and business improvement activities.
About you
We are looking for an experienced claims leader with demonstrated success managing teams within general insurance. You bring a strong understanding of complex claims environments, including general liability and/or Specialty, and are passionate about leading people, driving outcomes and building capability.

Proven leadership experience managing claims teams in general insurance.

Strong technical understanding of general liability and/or Specialty claims.
