Assistant Director – Forrest Early Childhood and Care Service
Community Services #1 (CS#1) is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to support the leadership of one of our Early Childhood Education and Care services through a period of growth and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your leadership skills while working alongside an experienced Centre Director. You’ll play a key role in supporting and mentoring a strong team, driving quality educational outcomes aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and fostering positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
About the role:
- Lead and support the implementation of high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework, and relevant legislation.
- Provide professional supervision, coaching, and mentoring to educators, fostering reflective practice, and ongoing professional growth to enhance outcomes for children.
- Assist the Service Director in the day-to-day management of the service, including maintaining staff-to-child ratios, contributing to rostering, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and maintaining accurate records.
- Lead service tours, support family onboarding, maintain effective communication with families, and promote a positive and inclusive culture with children, families, staff, and the wider community.

About you:
- ACECQA-approved qualification (Diploma or higher) in Early Childhood, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, and EYLF
- Confident leader with proven team development and stakeholder engagement skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and driven to deliver quality outcomes
What we offer:
Part-time ongoing role – 60.8 hours per fortnight. This role may be expected to work split shifts when required Remuneration aligned to Children Services Award Level 7, plus super, salary packaging and educational leader allowance.

Requirements:
Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain/maintain required pre-employment checks and certifications (including National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable Cards and First Aid), plus mandatory training as required.
