We are looking for an experienced cardiac sonographer who is a good communicator and comfortable with challenging patients. Ideally the candidate should have some experience scanning people who have congenital heart disease but this is not essential and we are keen to train the right person.
We are looking for someone to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from the beginning of September. The salary is by negotiation on a per echo basis.
Requirements
- You have a post graduate qualification in the field of cardiac ultrasound
- A current registration with Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- You possess sound clinical skills in the field of echocardiography
- Excellent interpersonal & patient care skills with the ability to show a friendly and professional approach
- You are committed to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of developments in cardiac ultrasound techniques.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for engaging with clinic managers and continuing a working relationship.
- Operate cardiac ultrasound (Philips 5500) and testing equipment to obtain optimal images and support medical diagnoses.
- Interpret and process requests for cardiac procedures, ensuring accurate patient identification and history review.
- Document patient conditions, including pathology characteristics, and deliver high-quality patient care and customer service.
- Build strong relationships with referrers, addressing their needs promptly and explaining procedures clearly to patients.
- Collaborate with Cardiologists and staff to uphold quality standards, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
