Functional Business Analyst
Work across business and technology teams to identify, clarify and document business and functional requirements and support the successful delivery of business and technology solutions.
Prerequisites

5+ years’ Business Analyst experience, with proven experience identifying, analysing, clarifying and documenting customer and business requirements.

Strong requirements elicitation and documentation capability, translating business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.

Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to consult, influence and communicate effectively with senior management, business users and technology teams.

Advanced facilitation and workshop skills, including requirements gathering, clarification, process discussions and stakeholder decision-making.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to assess complex information, identify gaps and develop practical solutions.

Sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with developers and testers, clearly explaining business requirements, functional expectations and solution behaviour.

Experience working with APIs, including understanding requests and responses and using relevant tools to inspect, simulate or validate API interactions.

Experience working within Agile development methodologies and established project delivery disciplines.

Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, clarify unclear requirements and progress work where information may initially be incomplete.

Ability to make decisions and deliver to deadlines without compromising quality, attention to detail or broader business objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations and business documentation.
Candidates should be proficient with:

Jira – requirements, user stories, backlog and issue management

Confluence – requirements and project documentation

API tools such as SOAP UI, Postman or equivalent

Microsoft Excel – analysis, data validation and reconciliation

Microsoft Visio or equivalent – process and workflow modelling
