About the Role
Proven experience with coordinating, and implementing infection prevention and control practices highly regarded. Experience in mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to nurses, students, or care staff would make you a strong candidate.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred clinical care and support to residents across a variety of shifts — including weekday and weekend morning, afternoon, and night.
Working collaboratively with the broader care team and under the guidance of senior clinical staff, you will ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents through clinical excellence, leadership, and effective documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centred care to residents
- Coordinate and supervise care staff, ensuring clinical standards are maintained
- Administer medications and maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor and respond to changes in residents' health status
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, legislative, and organisational policies
- Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and education sessions
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.
- Minimum 1 Year experience as an RN in aged care or health care settings.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and care planning.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to supervise and support care staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of aged care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Current Police Check Record (or willingness to obtain).
- Right to work in Australia.
- Available to work across morning, afternoon and night shifts (Monday to Sunday).
- Experience in dementia care, palliative care, or chronic disease management (highly regarded).
- Previous participation in quality improvement initiatives or clinical audits (advantageous).
