What you'll contribute to
CleanCo is seeking an experienced operational leader to join our Asset Operations team as the Site Manager at our Swanbank Power Station. Reporting to the General Manager - Asset Operations, you will lead the safe and reliable operation of Swanbank Power Station, comprising a highly efficient 385 MW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station and a 250 MW / 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
As a member of the Asset Operations Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the overall performance of Swanbank Power Station, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively with enterprise teams and key stakeholders to optimise asset performance, manage operational risk and ensure the site consistently delivers safe, reliable and efficient generation.
You will have overall accountability for leading multidisciplinary teams across operations, maintenance, engineering and site support services, ensuring the site consistently delivers safe, reliable and efficient generation while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This is a permanent opportunity site based at Swanbank Power Station in Ipswich.
In this role you will:
Lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Swanbank Power Station.
Drive a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and corporate requirements.
Lead multidisciplinary teams across operations, maintenance, engineering and site support functions.
Maximise plant reliability, availability and performance through effective operational planning and execution.
Lead major outages, operational improvement initiatives and supporting capital project delivery.
Manage site budgets, business plans and operational performance.
Build strong relationships with employees, contractors, regulators, service providers and enterprise stakeholders.
Develop team capability, fostering employee engagement and creating an inclusive, high-performing workplace.
Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
On your first day you will have:
Extensive leadership experience in power generation, energy or another high-hazard industrial environment, with experience managing gas-fired or thermal generation assets being highly desirable.
Demonstrated capability leading operations, maintenance and asset performance outcomes within a complex industrial environment.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a unionised industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience managing operational risk, financial performance and business planning.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all organisational levels.
A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to safety, continuous improvement and building a high-performing, engaged workforce.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline are desirable.
