Summary of Position
Based in Melbourne, working under a Work from Home/Office/Customer site Hybrid, the Senior Implementation Consultant, reporting to the CTO, is accountable to deliver Optko software solutions to meet our customers’ expectations. This is an autonomous role, where you will be expected to consistently deliver high quality work, under limited guidance. You will own the customer experience to always ensure the customers’ solution requirements are satisfied.
Working alongside our project managers, project team and software partners, you will deliver software solutions, bringing business and technical transformation to Optko’s customers. You will manage and guide the Software Configuration Specialist, such that you are also accountable for the quality and timeliness of their work. You will collaborate with Optko CTO, Optko Project Manager and Optko’s software suppliers to ensure project success and to minimise delivery risks and issues.
The role:
In this role, you will:
- Discuss, understand, and document the current (“as-is”) business rules and any future (“to-be”) business requirements with clients.
- Lead discovery sessions with clients to capture and define Business requirements, Functional requirements and Non-functional requirements for the new software solution.
- Lead and be accountable for the work of the Junior Implementation Consultant, directing the mapping and configuration of client business requirements into the software system.
- Lead testing, prototyping and UAT to validate that the solution meets client requirements.
- Lead Client workshops
- Support pre-sales by contributing implementation expertise to the sales process, including, Configuration requirements, Integration requirements, Key delivery criteria
- Support the sales team in Demonstrating software solutions, Preparing proposals, Developing solution pricing
- Drive Optko’s ongoing business improvement initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of new tools and systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in business analysis within a complex industry (e.g. transport, aviation), or a similar industry involving the definition of software solutions for large workforce teams.
- Experience in developing User stories, Use cases and applying these to the design of future business processes and requirements definitions.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, Work effectively under pressure, Meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including, Strong verbal and written communication, Ability to build relationships with existing and prospective customers, Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of Data sets, Technical integrations to ensure that new software solutions are properly defined within the context of existing business systems and processes.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as, Agile, Waterfall and an understanding of how these methodologies can be applied.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with broader Microsoft 365 suite and project tools.
- Experience with workforce management solutions (e.g. UKG, Dayforce, Humanforce, or similar).

Pay: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
