The Sovereign Resort Hotel Pty Ltd T/A Sovereign Resort Hotel, located at 128 Charlotte Street, Cooktown QLD 4895, is seeking an organised and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our front office team.
This is a full-time position. The successful applicant will receive a yearly salary of $77320.88 per annum plus superannuation.
As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be responsible for delivering professional reception and guest services while supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the hotel front office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Assisting in training and supervision of front office employees of a lower grade.
· Dealing with incoming, outgoing and transferring of telephone calls to the hotel
· Taking, recording and booking room reservations
· Check-in of guests, the allocation of rooms and the control of guest keys
· Preparation of guest accounts and receiving payment for these accounts
· Control, checking and summary of the bills and dockets relating to guest stays
· Night auditing
· Providing information to and assisting guests with hotel services
· General office duties
· Performing front office duties at a higher level than Grade 2
· Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
· Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer
· Receipt and dispensing of monies
· Reconciliation of transactions
· Receiving payment for guest accounts
· Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
· Offer assistance to hotel customers
· Promote the Employer’s services and facilities to customers when appropriate
· Make hotel customers feel welcome
· Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the Employer
· Ensure the work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness and good order
· Ensure that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner
· Ensure fast and efficient service
WORK EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- AQF Certificate II in Hospitality, Business Administration or equivalent plus at least one and a half (1.5) years relevant work experience (20 plus hours per week); OR
- AQF Certificate III in Hospitality, Business Administration or equivalent plus at least one (1) year relevant work experience (20 plus hours per week); OR
- At least two (2) years relevant full-time hotel reception or front office experience (35 hours per week) may substitute for formal qualifications.
- Minuim of 3 months OPERA V5 RMS expierence
