About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day retail operations of the store, ensuring effective stock control, customer service excellence, sales performance, staff supervision, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to senior management, the Store Manager will play a key role in achieving business objectives and maintaining high standards across the retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer demand and business objectives.
- Formulate and implement purchasing, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
- Set and review pricing of products and services in accordance with market conditions and business goals.
- Promote and advertise the business's products, services, and special offers.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Sell products and services while providing expert advice and assistance to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements, sales activities, and financial transactions.
- Coordinate stock ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory management processes.
- Prepare budgets, monitor business performance, and assist in achieving financial targets.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support retail staff to ensure high levels of productivity and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain store presentation standards and ensure an organised, safe, and efficient retail environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in a retail management, store management, or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience in stock control, inventory management, budgeting, and staff supervision.
- Ability to manage daily retail operations and achieve sales and business targets.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Experience within the motorcycle, automotive, retail, or related industry will be highly regarded.
