We are seeking a passionate Senior Legal Counsel to drive legal excellence and safeguard our mission-critical operations. You'll support some of Australia's most significant rail and infrastructure projects, working alongside commercial, project and operational teams to help deliver sustainable transport solutions. Reporting to the Legal Director ANZ, you will be accountable for leading front-end legal support for bids and tenders and providing expert advice across contractual and project-related matters.
- Lead scalable legal strategies to support business growth and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal frameworks with operational objectives.
- Ensure reliability in contract management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Champion innovation in legal processes, adapting to evolving industry standards.
- Promote knowledge sharing and mentor junior legal professionals to build organizational capability.
You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws, along with a current Australian legal practicing certificate.
- Sound understanding of public tenders and Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreements.
- Experienced Senior Legal Professional who enjoys providing legal expertise in the tender/bid phase of complex major projects.
- Strong commercial acumen coupled with great interpersonal skills, communication and excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a Lawyer, either in-house or private practice within the infrastructure, engineering or construction sector.
- Timely delivery of legal solutions aligned with strategic business goals.
- Effective collaboration and leadership within legal and business teams.
- Reduction in legal defects, efficient troubleshooting, and process improvement.
- Work with advanced legal technology and contribute to strategic vision.
