About the Role:
As the Area Manager – Resource Recovery, you'll lead Endeavour Foundation's recycling and waste management operations across 3 Sites on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, partnering with Regional Councils and industry stakeholders to deliver strong operational, environmental, and financial outcomes.
With full P&L accountability, you'll oversee Resource Recovery Centres, waste transfer stations, and Recycle Markets while leading a dedicated team to maximise resource recovery, profitability, and employment opportunities for people with disability.
What You’ll Do:

Full accountability of Resource Recovery Centre Site Managers and operations.

Proactive and passionate leadership of safety, risks and compliance in all operations, including environmental management where required.

Lead and coordinate business activities to improve operational performance and outcomes determining risks and enhancing financial sustainability.

Translate strategy into practical terms for implementation, creating a shared understanding of how successful commercial outcomes are integral to delivering person centred practice.

Deliver recycling and waste management activities that promote sustainable practices and align with environmental goals.

Create a workplace culture that promotes the opportunity for people with disabilities to learn real-life employment skills that align with their NDIS goals.

Deliver strategy through building a capable, relevant, high performing and compliant workforce.

Engage with industry associations and Council to maintain Endeavour Foundation's profile as a leading service provider and employer.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Understanding of Environmental legislation and ability to translate that knowledge into performance standards and outcomes.

Experience within the commercial operations in one of the following - Resource Recovery, Waste Management, Document Destruction, e-waste Recycling and Recycle Market/Second-hand Shop operations.

Ability to oversee operations that deliver high-quality and safe commercial outcomes with a focus on financial sustainability.

Proficient in written and verbal communication for effective stakeholder engagement.

Strong decision-making skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.

Ability to manage conflict whilst remaining calm and alert.

Working knowledge of quality assurance programs and industry best-practice standards.

Proven operational performance management skills in alignment with divisional performance targets, KPIs and P&L management.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
