Job Description:
SS Automotive (NSW) is seeking a qualified, skilled and experienced mechanic to joinour team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a widerange of vehicles, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality. This rolerequires strong diagnostic skills, leadership abilities, and ownership of the workcompleted in the workshop. Join a dynamic environment where excellence andcustomer service are paramount.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, identifying issues accurately andpromptly.
Repair and maintain a variety of vehicles, including cars, 4WDs, and light trucks.
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanismsand other components, and checking parts
Lead and take ownership of assigned jobs in the workshop, ensuring quality controland efficiency.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Liaise with the service advisor and customers to provide updates on vehicleprogress and repairs.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance, including brake, suspension, andtyre services.
Repairing and replacing worn-out and defective parts, and reassembling mechanicalcomponents post repair or replacement
Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices, including new vehicles
Qualifications & Experience:
Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent.
Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (preferred but not essential)
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the work.
Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Current valid driver’s license.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
